Dropped off a handful of paintings at Boom Gallery, in Geelong today.
It's a gorgeous space in an old wool mill and has a great little coffee bar using beans
from Coffee Cartel. They also have a new group exhibition opening next Friday (25.11) featuring local talents.
I highly recommend checking the artwork and the coffee! 11 Rutland St. Newtown
Do take a look at the work of this amaaazing Lithuanian artist, Severija.
She embroiders metal objects and it seems nothing is out of bounds.
Loving her work, particularly because I'm currently working on some paintings that incorporate cross stitching (watch this space...). But her stuff is just something else!!

Positive Posters are an Australian, not-for-profit organisation that run an annual competition for designers with the intent of raising awareness on social issues around the globe.
My submission for the competition is a pattern imitating an opulent damask style fabric or wallpaper. The pattern is made up of elements representing the result of our decadent lifestyles: mining, development, global warming etc. positive-posters.com
Have just come across the work by Adelaide artist, Emma Hack.
What makes her work doubly good is the use of Florence Broadhurst wallpapers for the backgrounds in some of her series.

Finally got myself a very cool case for my iPhone. Grove allow you to create your own designs to be laser cut into the back of the case, but I can't go past just the plain, minimal, unblemished surface!
Check out their site and some of the brilliant artworks others are doing. grovemade.com
